City to Hold "Sledgebreaking" for Construction at Memorial Stadium

The City of El Reno, Capital Improvements Program Executive Committee, Kerr 3 Design Group, and El Reno Public Schools will be holding a “sledgebreaking” on Mon., Nov. 24 at 10:00 am at Memorial Stadium in El Reno to kick-off construction of the $2.2 million project.  The public is also invited to attend. The City Council voted to award the contract to Pillar Construction, who anticipate having the bleachers, ticket booth and entrance completed by the first home football game in 2009.

OEMA Announces Holiday Collection Routes

Due to the fact that Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years Day are on Thursdays, OEMA will run the Thursday trash route on Friday on those days.


City Holds Groundbreaking for Walking Trail Around Lake El Reno

The City of El Reno recently held a groundbreaking ceremony for the first portion of the Walking Trail at Lake El Reno, as part of its Capital Improvements Program.  The nearly 2 miles of the trail portion will be completed sometime in April 2009, with the remaining portion (to go around the Lake) to begin following completion.

City Staff, CIP Exec. Committee Members, Terry Kerr and El Reno Citizens break ground on the Lake El Reno Walking Trail project.


City Announces New Bulk Waste Pickup Procedures

Beginning Dec. 1, the City of El Reno and OEMA will begin new bulk pickup times and procedures.  Click here to find out more about the new procedures.


City Reminds Citizens About Illegal Signage

The City is reminding citizens of the fines associated with illegal signs ($115 per sign w/court costs).  Code Enforcement Officers will be on the lookout for signs (garage sales included) in public rights-of-way in the upcoming weeks.
