
City of El Reno - Recycling Program
Want to "Go Green" here in El Reno? The City of El Reno and OEMA are partnering together to begin a recycling program .
Here are some frequently asked questions and information about participating in this worthwhile program to not only benefit our city,
but also our planet.
How do I sign-up for the program?
In order for the program to start, we need 500 households, city-wide, to sign-up for the program.
You can sign-up for the program by visiting our City Utility Billing Dept. (101 N. Choctaw Ave.) or
downloading and then faxing (405-262-2745) or mailing (PO Drawer 700, El Reno, Ok 73036) your form to us.
How much does it cost?
Households participating in the program will be charged $5.00/month, that will be added to their City utility bill.
Do I get a separate container for my recyclable products?
YES. You will get a separate container for all of your recyclable products.
Will my recyclable products be picked-up at my house?
YES. OEMA will pick-up and empty your recyclable container, weekly. For pick-up, all you have to do is is place the container curbside, weekly, for collection.
Containers cannot be set out before 7:00 pm on the day before recycling collection pick-up, and no later than 6:00 am on the day of collection.
Containers must also be removed from the curb line before 7:00 pm on the day of collection.
What types of materials can I recycle?
Items that will be accepted as part of the recycling program include:

egg cartons and Styrofoam trays
Do I have to bag my recyclable items separately?
You will be required to bag paper for recycling separately, but will not be required to separate their other eligible recyclable materials.
All items for recycling must be placed in plastic bags inside of the provided containers.
