The El Reno Police Department is here to ensure the safety and security of all people in the City of El Reno by providing responsive and professional police service with compassion and concern. Our purpose is to work with the community to build trust and provide quality service that actively prevents crime, reduces the fear of crime and promotes safety.
El Reno Police Officer starting base salary is 38,335.90 (not including shift differential, overtime, and uniform allowance) and increases to a base salary of 41,292.53 after the first year of employment. Officers are eligible for additional raises based on Certification and Education levels after their first year of service. A Patrol Officer with the City of El Reno will reach a salary max of 64,404.96 (not including promotional opportunities).

Serving El Reno
El Reno is a diverse vibrant community located 20 miles west of Oklahoma City on the west edge of the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. The Police Department serves El Reno’s growing population of more than 18,000. The department has 32 sworn and 11 non-sworn employees and handles approximately 23,000 calls for service each year.
The El Reno Police Department has 24 full time officers on the street. Each shift has their own Lieutenant. Each shift is 12 hours, 7:00 am - 7:00 pm or 7:00 pm - 7:00 am. Each officer works 7 days on and 7 days off.
